I could not hear the bass very well. Perhaps it is because my laptop has lousy sound, but it pretty amazing for a laptop. I enjoyed the video none the less, as it brought back to me the years that I went to jazz clubs in Miami. Nice six string bass, what kind may I ask? and what kind of strings? Bass is not my only instrument, and not my main one. Guitar and keyboards, well, actually my voice is my main instrument and guitar is second. The fretboard that I have learned for over 40 years that I have been playing is coming to life. I play things now that I never could before. Thanks to the good lessons at Wholenote.com. I recently joined ActiveBass.com, another great site. And now Alex has created this site. I wish you good luck, good health, and fortune.

I enjoyed the video very much. It was very enteresting watching his hand movements and picking with four fingers. Since I’m just stating to learn the bass I was glued to the video. Is their videos like that available for purchase?

Am really sorry for being such a skeptic. I’ve have so much wrong things done to me over the internet that I have became a skeptic. But as of that day Jan. 18th you sent me this email with Take 5 video break down . man … I have no doubt now that you know what you are doing and you are not trying to pull a fast one on me. you definitely know your stuff. now the load is off my chest I’ll be purchasing the Bass Secret system soon. I must tell my other bass and guitar buddies. yes.. this stuff can work for guitar players too. I love your teaching. Its clear and anyone can understand it. Its repetitive, and that’s good teaching method. I have not seen your system yet but I can tell you right now that Video lessons like this will do allot, especially for people like me who is very visual. Thanks for that vid intro. looking forward to start working with you (as a student that is..)

I am so glad that I made the decision to buy your course, I am a beginner and I have only just started on it and I am amazed at how you emplane things so clearly and in an understandable way that make it both enjoyable and quickly to grasp your every word.
I had been trying to learn the bass for quite a while and just kept going around in circles trying to understand Chords ect, But all other books and video’s that I have read and looked at always left me trying to grasp what they were saying.
But know thanks to you and your course and now your blog has lifted the vale that was covering my mind to the concepts of learning the Bass and Music. I recommend that everyone should do your course, now matter what level they are at, as it will help everyone. Thank you Alex, you are the best.

When I ordered your course I was a little skeptical, like I’m sure a lot of other people out there were too. I cannot not believe how you break things down to a level that everyone can understand. I just finished the 1st book but I am going to go back over it again just in case I missed something. This is the best money I have spent in a long time. I am really excited to see what you have in vol 2. I also have to tell you that I am really impressed with your support group. I had a question and it was answered right away in terms that I could understand.

I remembered when I first got an email from BGS and saw a price for a little over $300.00. I said to myself then “that is too much”. Well, I later ordered it for $100.00. Thank God I got it for $100.00, but it is worth over $300.00. I play for my church choir and when I look at the congrgation and see members dancing to my beat in the name of Jesus fills me with joy. Using your technique has tremendeously improved my playing. I am only on lesson 5 in volume 2. In my book, you are a genius. I pray that God continue to bless you to help others. Alex, I write this in salute to the incredible job you have done in creating a remarkable training program for those who want to master the low end. I wish that I could convey how effectively you have communicated the essential skills and knowledge necessary for understanding the Bass Guitar for what it is: “a musical puppet master”. I’m sure everyone has gone through the skepticism of the promises made by the ads for music training programs (I mean seriously, do they all have to look and sound alike?). Even after getting the tenth email and downloaded the sample lessons, I still wasn’t sure it wasn’t just another clever scheme to part a fool from his (my) money. I finally decided to go for it, and it was well worth every penny. For all you first timers who choose to download the system: make sure you print the manuals in color; it makes a huge difference.

Alex, everything you teach us is spot on! I spent my first year practicing behind a closed door. When I finally ventured out to play in front of other people, they could not believe that I learned all that I had from reading a book. Later on, I discovered that I was more grounded in music theory than others who had been playing for years. Most importantly, because I was prepared to work from chord sheets and understood the fundamentals of chord harmonization, I was able to play a couple of tasty bass lines that made our drummer arch his eyebrows and nod his head in approval.

Alex, you have done well by your craft. I hope one day to see you on TV or in a music video, and be able to say, “Hey, that’s my teacher!”

I would like to win the contest for fret board formula
because of what I know it will do for me when it come to playing the bass and making improvments. Ypur other program “Bass guitar secrets” is so well written that I improved over night everynight In the past year I bought alot of Guitar books and Bass books as well as vidios with cd and such (about $1800) but none of them help me or shall I say none of them answered the question I had as complete as your program. Now I work with my bass about 10 hrs a day everyday my dad and I preform 2-3 night a week.
I would like to tell you my whole story but I will just give you the just of it .
About 1 yera ago I desided that I would learn to play the guitar and play for my dad for a christmas gift even tho I played several instrument and was a music teacher I could not play the guitar now my dad is 80 years old and he has been playing for 70 years and play as well as any guitarest I have ever heard
and I’ve heard alot…neverthe less istarted studing guitar then bass I had sxome good teachers but for what ever reason they did not progress quickly enough for me ….time went by 15 week christmas came I played for my dad he then smoked me on the guitar I went back 7 days later played bass he said ok 7days later we played for some folks….ayear later we formed popferguson and the blues revue.. ..but I was not happy with my progress even tho people would say “We can’t beleave you’ve only been playing…. now they are saying it again all because of what I’ve learned from your bass guitar secrets ect… I work very hard at the music i play Blues(1850-1950) Gospel,some early R&B. But I jam with young guy and also ues music to reach them so I can teach them about Christ. Thats why I need to progress as quickly as possible needlesstosay if Idon’t win I will buy it but either wayI will ues it and pormote it if it is as well writtrn as the first porgram.
