Grab your bass & learn this catchy bass line…

OK everybody already knows that the latest rage is the upcoming launch of my new Fretboard Formula course…

Well in the midst of all the ‘madness’ and lack of sleep, I took a break to shoot an *ALL NEW* 44 minute video lesson for you boys and girls…

I’ll cover in step by step detail how I came up with a bass line (from scratch) for a song called “Caught in Limbo”…

I think you guys will dig it and it’s just my way of giving y’all some more cool free stuff.

Enjoy!

Alex

Alex,
Funny you should mention about how to identify the chordal progressions when you don’t have a chart.

I am struggling with that right now.

I must be on the right track then…
I can’t wait for you to provide a train to get us there safely.

=)

Very nice…spent maybe the last hour going through both parts. Got the parts going seperately, now I just need to get the parts together.

Does this post qualify me to win the FRETBOARD FORMULA…???

Sweeeeeeeet!

Thanks Alex….really do enjoy learning with you.

Hi Alex,

I think you are too advanced for me. I play in church once a week and never play any minor cords. However, I would like to do more runs and licks.

Thank you if you can help.

Alex that is some groovy stuff. I am glad you put that on and i cant wait to purchase the FBF so I can work on those double stops. Those really add a great dimension. I think some slappin’ in there would groove it up a bit too, time to go improvise!!

Nice break down.

How to identify the chordal progressions when you don’t have a chart. That would be a nice video. I struggle with that alot. I play at church. If I get a chord chart it’s because I’ve had to do it myself. I don’t like tabs at all. I read music but of course we don’t always have the sheet music and that’s no good to me when the pianist changes the key.

Keep doin ya thang

When I purchased BGS you promised extra material from time to time but I didn’t expect anything like this, and its free. You obviously put a lot of effort into keeping your customers happy and I’m sure they all appreciate it as much as I do. Please keep up you excellent work. I look forward to the next lesson

Alan

Thanks for those wonderful tips. I assume I have to purchase a four string bass to play chords. I presently have a six string. Keep up the great work.

Hi Alex,

I’ve been playing bass for about 6 years now, and I was asked to play in two bands about a year into my practice. I’ve sinced released 3 full length albums , toured and gotten picked up by Universal. I was always shocked at how eager friends were to play with me and was always greatful to be encouraged. After taking your course, I realize why I’ve been so successful in such a short period of time. My best friend is a the grooviest drummer in town and he always told me to just follow his kick drum and keep it simple. I did, and always was swamped with praise before I even new the notes on my fret board. At sound checks I never understood why other bands were always asking for high hats in there monitors. I always insisted on the most kick drum in mine. So your approach is exactly the kind of sensitivity that seasoned , confident and humble musicians have displayed over and over. I’m learning how to add some hot sauce to my playing thanks to you. I’ve also quit my day time job and working on starting a free jazz collective here in montreal inspired by the amazing movement happening in cicago and new york. bless.

Hi. Alex
I like the way you break it down, you make it look so easy. If the FBF is anything like this it will be great. When learning new song’s with the band we have trouble coming up with ending’s the double stop will be something I can show them. This is what I’ve been looking for, a program where I really learn somthing, thank you Alex.Elmstead Road Blues Band thank’s you for helping me become a better bass player.I look forward to more of this.
